Blockdown reflects on domestic life and motherhood during lockdown. This sculpture uses my own childhood building blocks (now handed down to my son) to form a mask that covers my head. The blocks form a protective yet claustrophobic layer, not dissimilar to the situation many of us find ourselves in confined to our homes due to the current pandemic.
